The day has arrived! Finally! I’m so excited! Since Monday I’ve been going to HDB website to check the progress. Our first choice is actually Blk 270A. during the first day of selection, many people chose Blk 270A. our first choice of course taken away.

Never mind. We plan to get the next block instead.

On that actual day, went to Bb’s house early in the morning. Couldn’t sleep much the night earlier.

Before we went out, we check out the HDB website one more time. about 100 units already taken up. Bb had somemore last minute advices from his mum. (I don’t understand what they talking about.. talking in teo chew.. )

Our Q number is 126. We took a bus from Bb’s house to Ang Mo Kio then change train to Toa Payoh. We played PSP DJ Max along the way. ARGH.. why I keep losing??!?!? My fingers not flexible enough.

Anyway we reached at 3.45pm. 45mins earlier than our appointment time. after we registered, we looked at the Q number screen. Now serving 124.

We sat at the waiting area, there are many big LCD screens showing the flat that is still available. Literally can’t sit still sia. Although there will not be much changes to the current list shown on the screen, but I can’t help to keep staring at it.

We sat there for about 5mins, then the screen showed our Q number.

‘where’s 125?’ I asked Bb when our Q number appeared.

Think 125 didn’t show up.

Good!

Muahahahahahaha.. (super evil laugh)

The person who service us is very friendly, very experienced also. we chose the next block at one of the top floors.

The floor has two sides, one left one right. Told Bb I prefer the one on the left, cause it’s the same format that I’ve imagined in my mind. So we decided on a particular unit.

Very difficult to describe the feeling I have at that point of time. really difficult to pen into words. I thought to myself that time, ‘oh.. that’s it. it’s confirmed. 3 years later we’ll have a house together. The man that I’m looking at now, I would be spending the rest of my life with him, wow. Still can’t comprehend. 3 years seems so far and seems so fast at the same time. can’t gauge how long 3 years would be. Feeling loved and blissful now. And also felt quite confused now, cause Bb haven’t officially proposed, then now we’re choosing a unit together. Feel so weird. Thought the sequence should be the other way around…’ so many thoughts flooding my mind. I keep holding and rubbing his hand, cause I was feeling so excited. J

We need to make $2000 option fee.

We made all the necessary paper work. and after that we also need to get all our past 2 years’ payslip to apply for some grant 2 weeks later.

Anyway we left the counter at about 4.45pm. we took some time to take a close look at the model of the group of flats. I found our unit in the model, took a closer look at it. Although it’s just a small and tiny model, but looking at it gives me mixed feelings. I point the unit to Bb,’ that’s the unit that we’ve chosen!’ the model doesn’t look so nice before we choose the unit. Looked at the model in details, I told Bb, ‘wow! Here’s the playground! Wow! Bb look at the overhead bridge! Don’t need to go to level one to go for the playground area. Hey Bb look at this place, the pavement is so nicely decorated. Everything is so lovely!’

We left HDB hub shortly after. We went to KFC to have a super heavy tea break. Was feeling very hungry at that time. after the meal then realized that I’m too full for the dinner later. Bb’s mum cooked dinner for us.

Anyway… I’m happy today.
