Promo Dinner

This year 4 colleague from supply got promoted. So they came together and treat the whole department dinner. we went to furama hotel eat the international buffet.
The buffet place is at the 2nd level.
The food there is DELICIOUS!! Suddenly feel my tummy is soooooooooooo small. Couldn’t contain much sia… the main meal is very delicious, the steam chicken, vege, soup, fish, etc… oh~ just thinking about it makes me hungry again. the food is very fresh. I love the salmon too! but their desserts is just so-so only. I prefer marriot’s dessert range.

Pool Party

Grandma grace and Gabriel suggested to have a pool party. Gabriel booked the table at one of the pool shop near IOI plaza.
Grandma grace can’t make it for the event. So those that went is Kenneth, Grace + bf, Ai Jia, Shi Ying, Gabriel, myself and Bb.
Went to eat starhub chicken rice (it’s called xing ho.. Chinese name same with starhub, so we call it starhub chicken rice)
Bb and I shared half a chicken, the portion is just nice. No need to ration our chicken. :D
The pool table is brown~! Bb had a brown table curse. Anyway the curse came about Bb went to play a brown pool table once at Cine, then all the skill lost all of the sudden. So since then he tried to avoid to play brown pool table.
Gabriel heard that my Bb is good in playing pool, so he said he look forward to challenge my Bb. Anyway Gabriel that night went for pool competition. He said he is the lousiest in his team. Faint~ Gabriel is pro loh.
Total we booked two table. Grace and I playing on in table, then Gabriel and Kenneth played another. Both of them cleared two games and we haven’t even half way done. Grrr…
My pool skills still so-so.. but got teacher Bb to teach.. hee… now at least can win some games..
Bb and I played till 11 and we head home.

1st D&D committee meeting

Few days ago Ella came over to my desk ask me whether I want to join the D&D committee. She said Ryan is too new to join, so she was thinking whether I want to go instead.
Somehow, here I am.. in the first meeting..
Met a few colleagues from other departments.
The first meeting is just about separate the work to two groups. One group will source for door gifts, another group will source for event’s company.
I opt to join the event’s team. I find it’ll be more exciting~
Hopefully this year’s D&D will be fun and exciting~! :D

Jen first day

The day that I look forward to has arrived! These few weeks has been so overwhelm by the work load. So many people ask me do things and all say it’s important. Which one should I complete?
First day was nothing much. I’m still as busy. But at least know that Jen can start to help soon. J
Lunch time went to Xin Wang with David, Ella, Thomas and Ryan.
We sat at those long bench at the side.. 3 men squeeze in one side.. and 3 ladies sat comfortably on the other side. So contrasting sia.
The waitress came, had quite a hard time communicating. Cause david spoke in English, then the lady don’t know English. And the lady’s Chinese is super chim, the accent very strong. So don’t quite understand.
A lot of things I wanna eat lei~ but since eating with boss, so cannot eat till too ugly.. I still need to have xing xiang one k?
I ordered fish bake rice and teh peng… hee… no bones.. easy to eat
David’s treat! Yeah… got free lunch again! hahahahaha…
After that follow ella go shop around at newurbanmale.
Super relax lunch today! Hee.. super shuang..

1+1/4 year Anniversary

I’m so excited!! Today is our 1+1/4 Anniversary! It’s so COOL lah~! hahahaha..
Met Bb at Tampines, Bb treat me eat Ramen Ten. J
Took a few pictures over there. Then Bb gave me a super nice pic + photoframe. Ow.. I didn’t give anything to Bb.. haha..
I liked that present a lot. Left it on my table top at home. If it’s smaller I’ll put in office. :D

Blackout in 111 Somerset Road

Life goes on as per normal for me this morning. Woke up late, rush to work, start computer, check tons of email and excel spreadsheet, gobble up my breakfast in my office, pick up phone and start calling tenants…. Then saw something different…
Half of the office blacks out, then next second the other half black out also. Heard a machine shutdown sound at my distant left and the whole building shook for a second.
Almost all stopped work. Cause using PC. I’m using laptop, so my colleague laugh and said I still got to work. Haha. anyway I still need to reply emailsssss.. so I keep typing. Then the rest of the colleague all gathered around and talk talk talk. Heard a lot of stories; there’s smoke coming out from toilet; there’s an explosion outside; got fire somewhere in the building..
Then we saw CEO walked out of the office. Then after a while he announces that it’s safer for us to start to evacuate. We used the emergency exit. It’s the first time I been there, the staircase is narrow. And the railing is sooooo dusty. Ewww…
I just realized 13th floor is really super high up. Took a long time to walk all the way down. While walking down, realized that actually the whole building has black out.
Anyway the scenery at the emergency exit is soooooo nice!! Can see a clear view of the Youth Park, Singtel building and the Somerset Central.
We gathered at the grass patch. It’s so WARM~! We’re so late and the people has took up all the shady parts. We stood there for a while, about 10 mins. Then we given instructions to go somewhere else to chill. Once it’s okay, department heads will contact the rest. So my click all go Centrepoint. Haha~! yeah~~ a short break from all the work.
Grace and I took a short trip to Mango and the rest bought them something at coffeebean. After that we receive announcement that we can go back office. Grace and I reached office, saw Ariel they all brought their bags and waiting at the lobby. They said they are given instruction not to stay in office until further notice. So Grace and I went in and took our bags out. Saw Ella still in office, she asked me about progress of some buildings. I stayed behind and send her report before I join e rest. Feel so weird to work in an empty office.
Anyway after that we know from the press that the substation in the building has a flash fire. 4 workers are injured. Here's a picture of the substation. (Anyway I didn't know there's a substation in the building till now... heee..)
We went Taka after that. Shop our hearts out at Mango. I bought 2 dresses in total. Woohoo~ what a great retail therapy. after that we pack lunch back to office to eat. By then is already 1plus.
When I sat at my desk, reality hit me back. There’s so many things that I need to do~! Faint. Rush my things for the rest of the day.
Phew.. an exciting day.
