CG Reunion Dinner
Friday, January 23, 2009
Gong Xi Fa Chai~~~ CNY is around the corner again.. hmm.. i wonder how much ang pao i can have this year.. *grin evilishhhhly*
CG going to gather and have dinner together. But CG have alot of kids around, so we will have budget constraints if we were to eat outside.. so we decided to all come and have steamboat together at my house..
each person only paid $5.. it's a super tight budget.. but i believe i can do it!!!
Took a half day leave to go and buy ingredients.. at the super market, i told myself i gonna be an auntie for an hour.. to make sure we keep to the budget and can make all the members feel super full and satisfied..
Thank God for mum and some CG members to help to buy groceries together with me.. THANKS!!!
After that is the preparation.. Adrian quickly took the initiative and helped to wash and cut and marinate all the ingredients.. wow.. he was super good!!!
The preparation stage was super tough man! didn't know it's so difficult even for steamboat where everyone can cook for themselves..
And we realized this is the only time that we start an event on time.. before 7pm, almost all the people are here and we started eating.. and there are some members that brought friends to join the steamboat.. so the actual attendance was higher than the forecasted figure..
the power of food is unbelievable!

just to highlight.. the guy in blue apron is adrian.. he was the superstar for tonight's steamboat!

okay fine.. i think i couldn't take a decent pic today.. anyway.. despite the higher number of people came.. we still managed to keep our budget and there are lots of leftovers!!
Super full.. i feel so fat and satisfied now.. heee..

Dinner at Thai Cafe
Thursday, January 08, 2009
After the Thailand trip, we still have some craving for Thai food.
Just happened that Bb and I pass by a Thai cafe near Sunshine plaza, we decided to have dinner there.

We ordered Tom Yum Soup! We just realized that we did not have any Tom Yum soup at Thailand. lol. The soup was nice~ but it's super hot...

And we ordered this thai style stir fried pork. It was spicy and with a tint of sour..

This is what I ordered, Phat Thai. It's tasty but I still prefer the Phat Thai at ThaiExpress though..

The clear soup that comes together with the Phat Thai.

And lastly, desserts!! it only cost 1 dollar for each side dish for every meal ordered.
Steam tapioca.. yummy.. the portion was just right and the coconut was not too sweet.

Mango rice.. the mango was super sweet. rice not too much too. but the fridge is too cold lah.. some part of the mango was too ripe..
over all, it was a very good experience.

Thailand Trip 2009 Day 4
Monday, January 05, 2009
Today is leaving day.. last nite we went to 7-eleven to buy our breakfast. We have soya milk, bread, and canned tuna..
when we open up the can, we realized we don't have spoon!
Bb thought of folding the straw into half, and make it into a 'spoon'. Bb has saved us from the disgusting fate of scooping the tuna with our hands! Hail Bb~~!

After the breakfast, we wait for Valor and Jia Hui to check out.. we took quite a few pics at the lobby.. :)
