business is difficult

being in business is really difficult.. you only got limited time per day.. so if really matters where you want to emphasize on.
what i mean is that, for me, i need to tend the shop and being a boss at the same time. the perspective of each is different.
being an employee, i want to generate alot of sales as possible in the shop. besides that i want to give good customer service to as many people as i could.
but being a boss, i want to establish my brand and my product. i want to make my brand famous. i want to use various marketing techniques to make this happen. thus i don't have the time to tend the shop, i want to go out and do the planning and sourcing.
that's where the conflict comes in. i don't have time to do all these at one go.
initially, what i want is to have a mindset of a boss. but after months of working at the shop, i realised that what i do is an employee mindset. i couldn't find more time to go and do all the marketing. i simply don't have enough time to do all those things.
so we thought of hiring people to help tend the shop, but the school don't allow us to do that. they want us to tend the shop ourselves.
now we're tending the shop, feels like the shop is going no where big. think i really need to think of what to do...
