    Thailand Trip part 2
    Friday, February 16, 2007

Just came back from Thailand. The trip was AWESOME! I really loved the fellowship with all my beloved cg members.. They are really cool!! We went shopping together, eat together by the road side, sleep in the same room (girls only), explore unknown places together.. It’s really fun to be with them.

Anyway where the story stops? Oh.. Haha.. After that, we decided to go out and explore. Jen, Jessie, Kel and me went together. When we are out of the hotel, got one persistant tuk tuk driver keep insisting to show us some nice place nearby. He offer to bring us there with just 20 baht. We rejected the offer, cause we just want to walk around. But after 5 mins walk, we saw that same driver standing in front of us, waiting for us. He asked the same questions again, and this time he offered just 5 baht. Haha.. Is so so cheap. Since he really insisted, we hop onto his tuk tuk. He said he supposed to head home, but he saw us walking along the streets, so he decided to stop and offered to give us a ride. It’s really exciting, and he said that place is really cheap and nice. He brought us to a restaurant and dropped us there. We went in. it’s a seafood restaurant. The food there is super ex la!!! That tuk tuk driver bluff us, cheat us here. The price is equivalent to Singapore’s seafood restaurant. Imagine, 300 baht (about 13 Singapore dollars) for a place of oyster fried egg. We can get at least 10 of them along the streets. And that’s exclusive of the various prevailing charges. We decided to walk out of the restaurant. Although feels a bit embarrassed, but for the sake of our wallets, we walk out. We went back to our hotel area, went to a mini bar and chill for a while. Ordered coke, fries, and we played pool. The bar is quite small, the pool table area doesn’t have a lot of space. Some places are blocked by walls and pillars, it’s impossible (for me) to play. And one thing real interesting is that they provided a miniature pool stick ( don’t know what’s the term to describe that), it’s for you to use if you are blocked by pillar or walls, can use that to play.

After that, we went back to hotel.

The 3rd day.. We went to a place that look like bugis street.. Got those small shops selling a great variety of items.. And their operating hours are similar to bugis street as well, they open late.. We decided to go back MBK first, then late afternoon then go back to that place (siam square).

We went to MBK, then we split into groups again. Kel, Jen and me in one group. We really shop like never shop before.. Bought quite a number of stuff for our own friends and family members. Cause we do not have handphone, then we really have difficulty contacting the rest. We supposed to meet 4pm at swensen’s, but didn’t managed to see them there. We met them at siam paragon instead. By the time we reached there, they already finish eating, and they want to go back to hotel. We stayed back and share a meal together. Then we went back to siam square to shop. When we still at siam paragon, we saw something really cool. I saw 3D TV!! OMG! Never seen that ever in my life, I really felt I’m like a country bumpkin. On the outside, it look just like a normal plasma TV set. Initially we didn’t really notice the difference, I find the screen is quite blur at first glance. After that then we realized that it’s a 3D TV. Even the advertisements are so interesting. Haha.. Really amazed. Next time I also want to own one.. Haha..

We shop for a short while at siam square, saw quite a few items that’s super nice, but didn’t buy, cause it’s really expensive. Got one black cross necklace, it’s really very pretty, but cost about 20plus Singapore dollars, so expensive!! It’s okay, next time more money can buy more.

We reached hotel quite early, wash up and we just fellowship in the room. After that we went to another road side stall to have dinner together. The food is super duper spicy, I almost cried while eating (I’m serious! The food there is really spicy, drank a lot of water for that meal alone). But the food taste nice. I don’t dare to try that tom yum. Cause I know it’s gonna be super hot!

After dinner, we head back to hotel, bought 2 pairs of bikenstock sandals from one of the roadside stall owner.

I went wash up first, after that, valor say he gonna speak to all of us personally. The girls went down to buy more souvenirs while I went to bathe. After that, I went to guy’s room, Jeremy and valor is there. Valor talked to me in regards to quite a number of issue. One of them is about my career path. I told him I wanna go back and study design. Next time, where it be going to work in design firm, or start a business, it’s going to be very useful.

After that, Kel came back from internet café, and the conversation ended. I went back to my own room.

I took a short nap. Had a mini Valentine’s Day celebration by eating all the junk food together. then after that we watched a real stupid show together. The story is about some weird monsters that dresses up like clowns. And they keep on killing people. And the most scary part is not the movie, the most scary part are the sudden scream from Kel. Super irritated, shocked by him quite a number of times. Argh. After movie, we decided to rest. I am done with the packing quite early. I went to sleep first.

Next morning, time really flies, it’s the last day in Thailand. We went back to platinum. We finally managed to take a HOT PINK TAXI!!

Haha.. So exciting, anyway bought quite a lot of items over there. Bought some new tops and food stuff. Went back to hotel and we head back to airport.

It’s really a nice trip. Totally enjoyed it. On the plane, we saw the bird eye view of the Singapore night sky. It’s so beautiful. Really mesmerized by it.

We reached airport at around 8.30pm. After that everyone head home, left with Kel, Jen and me. We went back to terminal 2 to eat mac. After that we took bus back home.
