Father's Day Celebration

Yesterday we had a dinner celebration with my family to celebrate father’s day. Pui man bugged my dad for one whole day on where to eat. My dad said anywhere will do, he even suggested to go downstairs coffeeshop to eat. No way man. How can I bring my dad to eat cheap stuff on father’s day celebration? Dad doesn’t want to go far away places to eat, so decided to go causeway point eat.

After work I call home to check with them on where to eat, pui picked up the phone. Can hear dad from the background that he’s tired from the bugging he received from pui the whole day. Hee..

I met them at causeway point at 8pm. Dad almost wanted to settle with KFC. Haha.. We end up decided to eat the new restaurant there, “Dian Xiao Er”,

I like the ambiance of the place, it is not so dark and it fits well with the theme. But I find it strange that we need to make the order outside the restaurant. The waitress gave an excuse that there are no one available to make order in the restaurant itself. I don’t like to think of what to eat, dad did the ordering. Ordered quite a number of items.

The portion of the food is okay, except for the fried rice. Ordered a middle size fried rice, the person said is enough for 4, the portion is quite little, I think I can finish it myself.

Really wonder how small the portion will be for the small size one.

My dad suddenly realized that other tables were given plain water except us, then he approached one of the waitress there why we’re not given any water. Then the waitress said because we didn’t ask.. huh? We need to ask for it one ar? But if they don’t ask us, how are we supposed to know that we need to do that?

That waitress came back with the water, she apologized and said that the person who took the order missed out asking, said that she’s new girl. she already in her 50’s. She is real cute la.

Her service is good, she managed to turn dissatisfied customer like dad to become a very satisfied one. He even ask the waitress when will she on leave. The waitress told him she’ll be on leave every wed, my dad actually said that he’ll not come on wed then.

Enjoyed the dinner with them. Although it cost almost a 100bucks, but is really worth it. Happy Father’s Day Dad! Hee..
