One word to describe Genting Trip: Blessed!
I really enjoyed my holidays at Genting, it’s a time that I can recharge and move on. Been quite tired everyday cause not enough sleep, sometimes if I sleep for long hours, I will still wake up tired. Thank God that I had good rest for these few days when I’m over there, I was totally refreshed after only a few hours’ of sleep. :D
Those who went for the trip: Bb, me, Desong, Winnie, Min Kuan and Jacky.
My Genting story starts after service, went with Bb to have dinner with his family. We went to Waruku at Marina Square. Everyone’s present except his younger brother. The food there is quite nice, but the bowl is too big for the food. The utensils are gigantic but the food portion did not match with the size of it. So it looks kinda disappointing when the food is less than half filled.
The dinner starts at around 9pm, ends 10plus. We waited at the entrance of the restaurant for almost an hour. Cause it’s really crowded. Bb’s elder brother treats the meal.
After the meal, they went home. Bb and I went to meet Desong they all. We went to Marina South. Played arcade and pool. Played till about 2plus Desong send Mel and Ber home while Winnie send Bb and I back to SengKang. I’m staying at Bb’s place for the night, cause the bus is super early, don’t want to waste too much on cab and can make sure I will not oversleep. Actually went reach home also didn’t sleep much, only rested for about an hour. Bb packed the bag and consolidates our things into a single bag. He really knows how to pack things, the bag look so small after packing. :D slept at around 4am. By then I already very zombie. When Bb was packing the bag, I wasn’t really responding, he could see that I am very sleepy.
We took a cab to Golden Mile at around 5.45am. Reached there just after 6am. Met Jacky and Min Kuan there, we ate breakfast at a market nearby. I ate fried Bee Hoon for breakfast. The bus will leave at 7am. Jacky and Min Kuan will be on another bus. That time they said they have a performance on that Sunday, but it was cancelled. By the time we want to change back to the same timing, we are not able to do so cause they have sold the tickets.
We took the bus first. The seat’s huge!! It’s yellow and red in colour. The bus took us to Tuas checkpoint and we went to check out. We’re talking about the express lane, I remembered that time when I’m at airport I tried the express lane before. Heard from Winnie the express lane is for those that frequent travel overseas. After that we pass by the Malaysian check point.
After the check point, the bus stopped at one of the eating house. Inside is like a coffee shop, and there’s a supermarket selling local products. Bb bought sugared sotong. Don’t feel quite well from the bus, so I ordered some hot soupy stuff and eat. I ordered yong tau foo, it’s 6RM.. it’s so ex loh. The food is just normal. But at least I felt better after taking some soup.
After that we travel further. The bus ride ends at around 1pm. We’re staying at First World Hotel. It’s really crowded. A lot of people is crowding around the lobby area. Felt kinda weird as not all have handphone to use, scared that we will just miss each other. Before we parted with Jacky and Min Kuan, I asked him to call me when he reaches the hotel.
We went to take the Q number first. We need to get Q number to check in. check in time starts at 2pm. took some pictures while we’re waiting. :D and we went to play archery. The store keeper quite nice, gave us some extra arrows to shoot. Oh man, I’m really bad in this skill. Can’t shoot well.
The bow is really hard to pull, my hands are struggling and tremble while pulling, it causes my bad aiming. But at least I managed to get a few that is near the bull’s eye. :D Bb’s good in archery, his aiming is so good. His arm is really strong; he can easily pull the bow to the maximum. Phew..
Managed to meet up with Jacky and Min Kuan after a short while and we went to the check in place and wait.
The hotel is full, and we are not able to upgrade to a better room. The window is those that face another room.
My Colleagues told me that First World Hotel has nice and big lobby and very small rooms. Went in, it look alright to me, not so small that they said to be. The weather is cold there, so no need to install air-conditioning at all, just need fan will do. The room is still in a mess, the cleaner have not started cleaning all our rooms. So we decided to leave our bags in the room and we go and walk around.
We went to eat Pizza at Pizza Hut. Bb’s been thinking about Pizza Hut for quite some time already. Ordered 3 pizzas in total. The cleanliness of the restaurant is not good, the floor is greasy, and the restaurant has some oily smell. The cutleries and utensils do not look clean also. Anyway we enjoyed eating together. Still feel that Singapore cheese is still nicer. :P I’m a cheese lover!
After the meal we went back to our room and take a short rest. Bb and I is staying at the same room. We took some time to explore the room. I thought I come hotel can enjoy a nice bubble bath. Aiya.. they don’t have bath tub… -_-
Anyway we also do other things like figuring how to call other room via internal line, and unpack our bags.
We all decided that Monday is a more relaxing day, so didn’t do much on the first day.
It feels great to be able to breathe fresh air and ‘feel the clouds’ with my hands..
At night we decided to experience the natural chillness. Took quite a lot of pics outside. Huat jia lat sia, he took A LOT of pics all blur one.. sian..
