Bb posted a last-minute test for me - to cook a meal for him. ROAR~ I don't know how to cook lah. Somemore I only have less than 2days to think of what to cook. OMG~ faint.
In office asked Ariel for help. She suggest me try doing Japanese curry. She assures that it was super easy. Then during lunch I ask Ariel to go Paragon with me to get the Curry roux. Then after lunch time I checked out many online receipes and also consult more experienced female colleagues who knows how to cook. I feel so auntie.
Anyway, went to SengKang after work and bought all the necessary ingredients. But Bb was having OT, so waited downstairs till his elder brother reach home to open door for me. Waited for quite a while before Bb came back.
Started cooking at around 9pm. Bb did all the cutting, the onions, potatos, carrots, chicken, etc. And I am in charged of cooking everything.
I didn't know need to wait so long for the potatos and carrots to soften, I didn't encounter this problem when I was cooking maggi mee at home. Then Bb cooked one of his favourite dish - egg w preserved veg. Bb forgot to put the preserved veg into the egg. He only remembered when the egg was almost done. So the final product was not saltish enough. Anyway I still liked Bb's cooking. :D
After slightly more than 1 hour of preparation, finally it's dinner time. It was about 10plus by now.
Overall verdict: rice too dry and too little curry. the rest is alright.
At least the 'areas of improvements' are minor issues. At least the outcome is still quite tasty. heee... :D
