D&D 2008 - Where Dreams Take Flight

This year, I was being 'appointed' to be in the committee for D&D. erm.. Although I need to spend time in the planning, but the process was fun! I learnt alot of my colleagues during planning stage. We will have to invite the events company to come and present, we have to negotiate the packages and the price. And finally would need to be presenting to the CEO.

The Theme we have chosen is 'Where Dreams Take Flight'. The setting will be we are in a plane, going to different places of the world while we have our dinner.

Since its an airplane, there has to be air stewardess around. Since I'm one of the committee member, I was being 'appointed' again to be one.

Then we 'appointed' another new girl from finance - Karen, to be another air stewardess.

If the D&D is not around, don't think I will ever have a chance to be an air stewardess..
Although can't make it as a career, but it's still fun to act like one just for a night.. hee..

the costumes are provided by the events company.

The committee members will have a room on that day. So we change to our costume when we reached the Hotel. Here's me with Celestine and Karen..

towards to evening, the guests are moving in slowly. Here's Ariel and her friend. Actually both of them look so alike. I thought they are sisters.. :P

The event got started. erm. air stewardess is supposed to be on stage to demo on the life jacket. I was the girl on the left.

I think my bun was too big, then my head can't get through the life jacket. That point of time start to panick cause I was on stage! Took some time to get the life jacket on.

phew.. finally it's done... actually the one in grey is also one of the committee member, we inform the MC earlier to arrow him on stage.. opps!

the rest of the life jacket demo runs on smoothly..

by the time i'm back at the table, the food has been served. Bb left some food for me.. :)

Didn't managed to take all the food pictures.. but one thing I realized is that the food standard has dropped alot comparing between the Actual day and during food tasting..

here's shark's fin soup.. oh.. don't know how many sharks are killed because of this. But since they have ordered, so just enjoy lah~~ it taste super good.. :)

Finally the event's over.. Bb and I stroll from Shangri-La to orchard and take night rider back home.. The lightings are so cute, we decided to take some pics before we head home..
